Other Surgery Staff:-
The Practice Manager, Mrs Sue Rodway , will be only too willing to help you with any administrative or non-medical aspects of your health and treatment. She is also available, by appointment, to discuss any suggestions which may improve our service to you.
Practice Nursing Staff - Sister Marilyn Smith, Sister Pat Beckett, Sister Angela Powell and HCA Pam Davies. We have three Practice Nurses and a Health Care Assistant who work very closly with the doctors and are trained to do an extensive number of procedures and tests. They run a number of clinics including health promotion, asthma and diabetes clinics, and offer a range of chronic disease management, cytology and minor illness services. Our Health Care Assistant works under the close supervision of our Practice Nurses. She is fully trained to perform blood tests, simple wound dressings and other routine health checks.
Reception/Adminstration Staff - All our staff are here to help you and are pleased to do so. Supervised by Mrs Jane Matthews, receptionists are your link with the rest of the practice. They may need to ask you medical details in order to work effectively and at all times are working under the instructions of the doctors. All information given to them is treated in confidence and they are bound by the same codes of conduct as the Doctors and Nurses. The more information you are able to give to the receptionists the better they will be able to assist you. Ms Anna Jones leads the administrative team providing support to the doctors and nurses and ensuring that the practice runs smoothly.
The Health Visitor- Your Health Visitor can offer you confidential advice in your own home or at the surgery on all aspects of health promotion, disease prevention, and the development of healthy lifestyles. Their work with families includes both home visits and well baby clinics, through which they provide advice on immunisations, child development, parenting skills, etc to help children fulfil their maximum potential. Your Health Visitor can be contacted on 01495 762367.
District Nurses - We have several district nurses based at the practice and they can be contacted on 01495 764642.
Midwives - Midwives visit the practice on a regular basis and can be contacted at Nevill Hall Hospital on 01873 732120.
