Cervical Smear Tests - Women are encouraged to have cervical smear tests every three years after they have had two normal smears. Ours nurses perform 90% of the smears, but some of our doctors offer this service.
Family Planning - Family planning or menopause advice (HRT, etc) is available during any surgery. If you take the contraceptive pill or HRT then you should see the nurse every six months.
Baby Clinics - Our baby clinic is held on Tuesday afternoons between 2.00pm and 3.00pm. No appointment is necessary. This is for weighing, general advice, immunisations and minor ailments. Baby clinics are run by one of our doctors but the Health Visitor is also available.
Immunisations
Childhood - We recommend that all children receive immunisations as recommended by the Department of Health.
Adults - All adults should have a tetanus and polio booster every ten years to a maximum of five.

You commonly need Typhoid, Hepatitis A and anti-malaria tablets, and occasionally Meningitis. Some vaccines are not available on the NHS and can cost a considerable amount.
